Things to do in Stintino
Stintino only exists because of Asinara: when the island became a prison colony in 1885, its fishing families were relocated here and built this town from nothing. La Pelosa, the beach they're now famous for, has water so shallow and clear it looks tropical from Capo Falcone above — and a daily visitor quota in summer to keep it that way. Ferries back out to Asinara National Park, now roamed by white donkeys instead of prisoners, leave from Stintino's harbour. Below are the top-rated tours and boat trips.
