Things to do on the Costa Smeralda
The Costa Smeralda didn't exist before 1962, when a consortium led by the Aga Khan bought this stretch of granite coastline and built Porto Cervo's marina, still lined with superyachts and the boutiques of the Piazzetta. The real draw is the coves either side — Liscia Ruja, Capriccioli and Romazzino — where pink-tinged granite drops into water that goes from turquoise to deep blue within a few metres. Below are the top-rated boat trips and tours around the coast.
